Abstract
The Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology on the Georgia Southern Statesboro Campus is opening its new service and research labs with facilities and equipment unique to the region. The new lab spaces are designed for collaboration and teamwork to serve the community and enhance research involving motor control, human performance, and biomechanics, among others. Current areas of service and research include children with cerebral palsy, adults with peripheral neuropathy, tactical training for police officers and firefighters, gait analysis, athletic performance, and concussion assessment and recovery.
