Abstract
“I am Lamar Stephens. I am a servant leader, and I am Georgia Southern.” Lamar is a University Police Department officer on the Armstrong Campus who said he enjoys the peaceful nature of the campus. As a first-generation college graduate, Lamar first pursued higher education when he was 50 years old. Now at 61, Lamar has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in management. In his free time, Lamar runs his business where he sells spice mixes, which he says are “good on everything.” As a college graduate, public safety officer and entrepreneur, Lamar loves to see students on the Armstrong Campus succeeding. His favorite part about his job is being able to keep the tranquility of the Armstrong Campus in tact. #IAmGeorgiaSouthern
