Abstract

Ashley Callahan, an independent scholar and curator in Athens, GA, is the author of the newly published "Frankie Welch's Americana: Fashion, Scarves, and Politics." Callahan has a MA in History of American Decorative Arts and a BA in Art History. Callahan was a curator for the Georgia Museum of Art and recently organized an exhibition of Frankie Welch's textile scarf designs and dresses on display at the University of Georgia's Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library through the beginning of July.
