Abstract

History is for everyone – every aspect of the human experience has a past. We offer courses in all time periods, and also on a wide range of topics from military history, to women’s and gender history, to the history of regions, such as the Middle East or modern Japan. Students who specialize in history are typically those who plan to teach, practice law, or enter government service; but history students also go into business, librarianship, foundation work, management of local history projects, and fundraising.
