Abstract or Description
The Covid 19 pandemic upended education and increased the attrition of special education teachers. Our research determined the experiences of special education teachers in the Czech Republic and Georgia to inform future practice. We found most teachers were concerned about their students with disabilities' learning and mental health needs. Participants will be able to: 1. Identify important themes from our study. 2. Have a better understanding of the pandemic's impact on teaching and learning in the U.S. and in a European country with similar challenges. 3. Discuss and implement practices to support special education teachers and their emotional well-being during remote or hybrid teaching.
