Abstract or Description
Typically new teachers leave teacher preparation programs without experiencing the start of the school year. The purpose of this presentation is to provide an overview of a piloted beginning of the school year experience during a yearlong internship. Presenters will provide an overview of the development of both of this experience, examples of assignments, feedback from school partners and teacher candidates, successes and limitations.
