Abstract for the conference program
Project SENSE has touched the lives of over 80,000 students since its inception in 1989 with the philosophy of “hands-on, minds-on science.” Science content and pedagogy are supported concurrently, through summer workshops and distribution of classroom activity kits. Over 400 different activity kits and exhibits are available for teachers to use in their classrooms. Lesson plans are correlated to national and state standards. All consumable materials to perform the experiments are included in the kits. Kits are delivered/picked-up directly to/from the classroom and a full year of curriculum may be ordered at the beginning of the school year.
