Abstract
This presenter will share data accumulated over ten years’ worth of plagiarism cases in FYW classes, question the wisdom of common practices of dealing with plagiarism, and explore implications. While several individual cases will be discussed, the emphasis will be on recurring patterns of academic dishonesty and methods of detecting and addressing the problem, including the use of technology.
