Excerpt: "This is a very challenging time in the life of our College of Education. For the first time in the history of our college, graduate enrollments have exceeded our undergraduate enrollments and both enrollment groups have outpaced our modest increase in faculty numbers. Faculty and staff are working diligently to adjust curriculum, program content, instructional and program delivery modes, and service methods in an effort to meet the growing and shifting needs of our diverse student population. Our faculty and staff continue our strong tradition of reaching out beyond our campus, to work with our partner schools, community agencies, and other higher education institutions as we simultaneously renew the quality of life and learning for all. And as they are engaged in this challenging work, faculty and staff are also experiencing the loss of material compensation for their work due to state and national budget shortfalls."
