Learning Theories and Pedagogy – Research
Abstract
This interactive workshop will exhibit the pedagogy of Brazilian theorist Augusto Boal utilized by the Georgia College Theatre and Dance Department that serves as a model for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) by committing to engage every single Theatre Major in a SOTL activity. Through a grant from the university, our students become agents of change as they participate in high-impact learning by teaching their skills to high school students throughout the area. An exhibition of the work, how it is assessed, and the literature we have published will be presented in an interactive format.
