Words are weighty. They shape. They stick. They heal. They wound. They influence. They build-up. They tear down. Words are the building blocks of communication. They are used to both describe and influence our perceptions of self and others. Words are powerful. To the Core of the Root System; The Power of Positive Words is a workshop designed to discuss and increase understanding of the influence and reach of positive words and to increase awareness of the opportunities to utilize positive words to affect healthy growth and development in people including ourselves. Rooted in the field of Positive Psychology, the use and impact of positive words is essential to healthy growth and development. As professionals, leaders, teachers, and people, we can invest in the lives of others, particularly those entrusted into our care, with carefully chosen words. Positive words nourish our lives, and they at the core of the root system. This workshop is designed to be reflective, informative, applicable, encouraging, motivating, and fun.
