Full Session Description
In this engaging and interactive session, we will begin by reflecting on and reviewing the definition of developmental milestones and then discuss the importance of developmental monitoring and the critical role that early childhood providers have in monitoring the development of children in their care. We will then discuss and explore the training, resources and materials available through the Watch Me! Celebrating Milestones and Sharing Concerns training and the Learn the Signs. Act Early. campaign. We will play a game using the milestones checklists. Then I will demonstrate how to navigate the CDC and DECAL websites to complete the 4 Watch Me! training modules, the 5th Acting Early in Georgia module, and apply to get training credit along with a free Developmental Monitoring Starter Kit. I will also show the many different free resources available to families and ECE professionals through the Learn the Signs. Act Early. website.
