Abstract or Description
Every class has moments when we feel that our students are slipping away, losing focus or interest. These are hints to instructors that it’s time to change teaching tactics and engage our students in a different way. While YouTube videos are good visual aids, entertaining, and appealing to students, they are not interactive enough or suitable for assessment. In this presentation I will show how to use the TED.Ed resource to turn, in only 3 steps, a selected YouTube video into an interactive lesson to be used in class, in combination with i>Clicker2 for assessment, or assign it as homework to facilitate learning and engage students through multi-choice or open answer questions, and guided discussions.
