Background
- Internet is full of documents and multimedia resources with confidential, sensitive, and authentic information.
- Older methods of digital rights management and copy protection cannot protect against modern attacks[1].
- Modern attacks (e.g., deepfaking) can fundamentally alter a base image or media piece, destroying its authenticity, and making it easy to distribute.
- A promising and established technology that solves this situation is ‘digital watermarking’.
