Background
A planogram is a representation of the layout of a store and its products which is used to optimize the use of shelf space. A planogram can be created and maintained with various tools, which can use photography of the shelves. This generally must be done when the store is closed, where an employee takes the photos by hand. Photogrammetry is the process of using photographs to get useful data. Structure-from-motion is a technique which produces a 3D reconstruction from images. Multi-view stereo uses structure-from-motion to create a more detailed version of the model.
