Summary
Traditional, comprehensive schools do not fit all students. Discussion of seven different educational enrollment options available to students in one district in order to provide students with an educational learning environment geared to helping them be comfortable at school. Discussion of the seven different academic enrollment options that provide options for students to match their learning styles, to overcome barriers, and to prepare students for post-secondary plans. Participants will identify what already exists in their school systems upon which to build alternatives.
Evidence
The seven educational options exist inside four public school system charter schools. Collectively, the schools ended the 2016-17 academic year with a 94% success rate.

Biographical Sketch
Dr. Lisa R. Peterson has been an educator for 25 years. A high school English teacher for 15 years, Dr. Peterson sought her administrative degree to help level the playing field for students traditionally-marginalized. Serving as the Coordinator of Charter School Development for the School District of Janesville, she seeks to provide alternative enrollment options for students who have not experienced success in a comprehensive, traditional school setting.
