Parkwood Elementary is an International Habits of Mind Learning Community of Excellence. Our school focuses on the integration of the sixteen habits that are necessary for critical thinking and personal success. By preparing our students with the skills and dispositions to solve problems, communicate with clarity and precision and being persistent, they are ready for the next level and leave us with the skills to be successful adults; regardless of the career path they choose in life. The sixteen habits coincide with the skills that colleges and employers state they are looking for in the 21st century.
