This presentation will review tips and tricks for how to incorporate mental health into classroom settings. The material from this presentation will help educators feel more comfortable starting conversations about mental health. Students continue to experience mental health struggles that can be observed in classrooms. There is a school counselor nationwide shortage that leaves educators with having to address mental health.
Summary
This presentation reviews the statistical rates of common mental health diagnoses in school-aged children. The material from this presentation will serve as resources to encourage educators to connect with students on a deeper level. Educators will be more prepared to incorporate Social Emotional Learning activities into classroom instruction to promote a safe space for student's wellbeing and mental health.
