First Presenter's Brief Biography
Mr. Pugh graduated from Georgia Southern in 2006 with his Bachelor’s in Broadcasting and Production, and his Master’s in Counselor Education in 2008. Mr. Pugh is a consultant, educator, and counselor, that advocates for students, teachers, parents, and administrators. His experience in diversity training, teaching, and mentoring has assisted him in his development as an educator and an advocate for people navigating through life. He has a strong passion for learning how to become a better person on a daily basis by learning in front of his audience and using clear communication to foster a healthy environment. His strengths include but are not limited to advising, mentoring, programming, public speaking, conference planning, teaching, and personal development training. His interests include radio hosting, and performing comedy. Mr. Pugh is interested in research that creates solutions for issues that people face in various communities. He is specifically interested teaching people how to overcome mistreatment in an academic setting.

Advocacy and resilience work can lead to many mental, physical, and spiritual health issues for professionals. This presentation will address advocacy burnout and self-neglect experienced by professionals who make children their priority.
