Aims & Scope of the Georgia Southern University McNair Scholars Journal
The McNair Program's primary goal is to increase the number of Ph.D. students among groups under-represented in graduate education.
The research presented in Georgia Southern University McNair Scholars Journal is the culmination of research conducted by the undergraduate McNair Fellows during the course of the summer. The student's research is peer reviewed by Faculty members at Georgia Southern University during our Annual McNair Research Symposium. Many of the scholars have presented their work at conferences and symposia throughout the country.
The Program faculty, staff, and family members of the students are justifiably proud of each of the McNair Fellows, whose research is presented in this journal. Research topics cover a variety of academic subjects that the McNair Fellows have pursued. However, these topics share a common theme in the way they exemplify the discipline, dedication, desire, creativity, and hard work that each McNair Fellow demonstrates in their pursuit of obtaining a Ph.D.
