Abstract or Description
This research investigates coincident causes of the bullwhip effect (BWE) and considers their separate and aggregate effects in a triadic supply chain with fixed period inventory systems. Interacting effects of demand autocorrelation, cross-correlation and temporal batching are analyzed to characterize various scenarios where the BWE is dampened or amplified.
