Abstract or Description
A new position can be excited and daunting. There is always an adjustment period as one learns the culture of a new organization. However, having significant experience in the profession often facilitates a set of frustrations that may not be anticipated by the employee or the employer. Hear from librarians fresh from the job switch as they detail challenges in being new, but seasoned librarian professionals. Join the discussion to build upon strategies for avoiding common pitfalls and creating expectations that lead to a successful transition for both parties.
