Abstract or Description
This presentation was given at the 2019 ALA Annual Conference.
Liaison librarians are superheroes, but they don’t go it alone. Share in one library’s experience cutting through the smoke and mirrors of the “solo subject liaison” service model by considering the intra-library partnerships necessary to deliver well-rounded, impactful research services. Presenters describe how collaboration between liaison and technical services librarians have strengthened the role of the liaison program while increasing awareness of library services, expanding instruction beyond the one-shot format, and extending the audience for services previously perceived as faculty-only. Join the discussion by sharing your experiences with intra-library collaboration, including challenges, opportunities, and tips for success.
