Abstract or Description
Presented at ACPA – College Student Educators International, Louisville, KY
Becoming the supervisor of first time professionals can be an exciting but difficult task. Often times, assumptions of skills needed and used by both supervisor and supervisee can cause growing pains. What training and skills are needed to make this transition? What challenges does one face in this role? The presenters will share their own experience on this subject, provide existing research related to supervising new professionals, and present information learned from a recent survey of professionals and supervisors.
