Abstract or Description
Presentation given at Law and Ethics in Counseling Conference 2021.
School counselors deliver comprehensive programs that attend to all students' academic, social-emotional, and collegecareer readiness. Nationally, there is an average of one school counselor per 455 students. While maintaining proper service to these students, adhering to guidelines set forth by administrators, districts, and laws, ethical dilemmas arise. Global belief in a just world and training have been found to contribute to school counselors' ethical decision-making. Implications and suggestions for training programs, supervision, and practice will be discussed.
