Abstract or Description
Presented at INFORMS 2018
Over the last ten years, the number of businesses harnessing structured, semistructured or unstructured data have exploded. Today, many businesses are quick to view social analytic data as evidence or arguments. Oftentimes, the evidence and arguments leads to faulty decisions and lost profit because their data are not properly managed and governed. Thus, a business’ ability to deliver accurate analytics is essential to be built on the capabilities of its data and technology governance and practices. Given the increased importance in data governance, this presentation presents a literature review and highlights areas for future research.
