Description

Synthesis of extended metal atom chain (EMAC) complexes of ironFe3LMe3, a complex highly sensitive to solvent donation strength. A different solvent, diethyl ether is similar to THF except that polarity is lessened and a larger steric effect. All reactions that had been used to form the Fe(II) based EMAC were repeated using diethyl ether in place ofTHF.
