Abstract
This study showed the awareness and attitudes towards asexual individuals and transgender individuals among US adults at large. The Attitude Towards Asexual individuals scale had been used before once in the literature; its lack of widespread use is due to the relatively few number of studies and surveys regarding the attitudes and awareness of asexuality and asexual individuals (Hoffarth 2015). This study included adults from all sexual orientations, which Hoffarth’s study did not due to only including heterosexual individuals. This eliminated the exclusion of sexual minorities and provided insight into asexual awareness and transgender awareness in both heterosexual and sexual minority group participants.
