Abstract
Euphemisms for genocide function as terministic screens, affecting how perpetrators, victims, and society view events of “genocide” as defined in the Convention for the Punishment and Prevention of the Crime of Genocide. This research provides an analysis framework and typology for categorizing the genocide euphemisms used in six historical instances.
