Abstract
The purpose of this research is to identify the demographics and motivations of volunteer Puppy Raisers for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. Puppy Raisers foster and train future guide dogs from the time the dog is seven weeks old until it has reached eighteen months of age, at which point the dog will return to the Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown, New York, for formal training. This research utilizes Qualtrics, an online research and data collection software, to survey the population of Puppy Raisers.
