Abstract or Description

General education programs are often constructed to ensure that they can address Core Requirement 2.7.3 (General Education) and Comprehensive Standard 3.5.1 (General education competencies). Such efforts may lead to documenting only how general education is a substantial part of the undergraduate curriculum and the extent to which students reach competencies. Georgia Southern University added an additional reporting component regarding its general education program by including student learning assessment of general education skills in Comprehensive Standard 3.3.1.1. This additional layer of documentation provided many advantages especially in relation to writing a more in-depth response to CR 2.7.3 and CS 3.5.1.
