Abstract
Teachers are busy professionals with their summers “off.” So why would they spend a week away from home in the summer with a small stipend? This session will address how faculty at Armstrong State University, along with the educators from Stone Mountain and K12 teachers, have developed workshops funded by Improving Teacher Quality Program to meet the content needs of teachers, as well as provide modeling and instruction on best practices in the classroom. As the professional needs of the teachers have changed over the years, the workshop staff has attempted to meet those needs by continuing to mold and strengthen the professional development provided.
