April Newkirk is the Program Director for Elementary Education at Georgia Southern University. She has been in education for 18 years working with students and adult learners of all abilities.

Abstract

Dyslexia is not a disability, but a learning difference. In this session, participants will learn more about how dyslexia impacts learning and strategies to engage all learners. Strategies will be focused on multisensory learning and creating a culture of acceptance and understanding.
