Georgia Tobacco Quit Line Data Analysis for the North Central Health District amidst COVID-19, 2018-2021

Abstract

The purpose of this project was to re-assess the participation and utilization patterns of residents in the North Central Health District (NCHD) when contacting the Georgia Tobacco Quit Line (GTQL). Monthly GTQL reports from 2018-2021 were analyzed to determine the effectiveness of the program using four specified categories of significance to health promotions. This time period also intersects with the COVID pandemic, and should reflect a drop in utilization changes from what was previously seen in GTQL analyses that were conducted in 2016. This study provides an assessment opportunity for public health department promotion of this service to current tobacco users.
