Culture Shock - Creating Culture and Climate in High School PBIS
Presentation Abstract

We would like to give a comprehensive outline of our PBIS program at Jackson High School. In order to be relevant to both more and less experienced participants, we will discuss not only the nuts and bolts of our program but also include the things that make us uniquely special. We will be using our student team to initially outline the basic components of our program. We will then describe in detail the things that develop an intentional culture in our school. These are the things that make us unique and are taking our school to the next level. We will let our students describe the impact that this has had from their viewpoint. This will have the greatest impact on participants. Hearing the student perspective will be the most profound experience because this is where teachers and administrators want to see the biggest change.
