Ignite: Learning Social Skills Through Natural and Paid Supports (Group 1)
Presentation Abstract
According to the CDC, there is 1 in 68 individuals who are on the autism spectrum. Further, research suggests that lack of development of the prefrontal cortex along with poor executive functioning, individuals often lack to pick up on social skills. Therefore, they must be taught. What is more, is that social skills can be learned in the therapist's office while also in the community.
