Presentation Abstract
Families are important members of our school communities. When schools and families work together toward their common goal of helping all children to be successful, it is much more likely to happen. Research shows that family engagement in a child’s school experience promotes academic success, decrease behavioral challenges and increase commitment to learning. Within the PBIS framework, schools and families can partner together to create a predictable and positive learning environment in which students can thrive at school, and at home. Come learn how to coordinate and sequence family engagement within PBIS to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, relevance, and durability of PBIS by supporting students across settings!
