Purpose!
Presentation Abstract
What truly motivates people? And why do people do what they do? The answer lies in the purpose of behaviors. It doesn’t matter whether we’re talking about students, teachers, parents, or other professionals, people act based upon the purpose they see in any given situation. During this session, we are going to explore the purpose of behaviors and actions. We are going to delve into both actions and reactions based on the purpose. When you leave this session, you will have a better understanding of three things: 1.) Why you react to behaviors...and why you want to help students improve their behaviors, 2.) Why parents react to their children and educators in certain ways, and 3.) Why students behave how they do and what you can do to create a purpose for acceptable behaviors. This is an interactive session that will leave you motivated with a new purpose toward helping students. Come to this session expecting to smile, laugh, and leave with new energy!
