The personal papers of H. Dean Propst donated to the Armstrong and Lane special collections after his death. Correspondence, photos, articles, clippings, and mementos of his career. It documents Propst's philosophy of higher education, his schooling, career, scholarship, and teaching. .
H. Dean Propst (1934-2012) served the University System of Georgia as Vice Chancellor in various roles (1979-1985) and Chancellor (1985-1993). From 1969-1979 he was a Professor of English at Armstrong State college as well as Dean of the College, then Vice President and Dean of Faculty.
