Abstract

This installment of Faculty Spotlight features Hayden Wimmer, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Information Technology in the Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Information Technology. Wimmer is fascinated with the potential of big data, and how it intersects with various parts of business and society. He is presently researching the ways that rural areas such as Statesboro and Bulloch County can make use of big data in the healthcare field.
