Abstract
The project describes the process of comparing two different states, Georgia and New York, of motor vehicle fatalitiesrelated to alcohol and sleep deprivation. It will be determined; if there is a connection between these two factors in motor vehicle fatalities. First there was a study completed to determine how often accidents occurred related to alcohol consumption, and if the accidents were fatal, or just personal injury occurred. Once this was determined, it was then compared to studies conducted about sleep deprivation and concluded if there were any overlaps in the data. Finally it was determined if there were any preventative measures that could be instituted or regulated to keep fatalitiesin motor vehicles caused by sleep deprivation and alcohol consumption to a minimum.
