Abstract
A meta-analysis of diagnostic test evaluations provides a comprehensive understanding of a test’s performance. Existing methods allow for calculating pooled estimates of sensitivity and specificity. However, approaches to narrow the confidence interval of these pooled estimates remain under investigation. This project compared the confidence intervals of the joint pooled estimates using three approaches: no transformation, logit transformation, and arcsine transformation. Based on simulations and a real-life example, no significant advantage was observed from applying the transformations.
