Abstract
This thesis is a survey on the theory of the well-posedness and scattering of the magnetic nonlinear Schr ̈odinger equation (mainly in 3 dimensions). We elaborate on the well-posedness using Strichartz estimates and conversations laws in [5]. Furthermore we use the interaction Morawetz estimate to prove long time scattering behavior of the solutions in the usual Sobolev space H^1.
