In today’s society, there is a constant obsession of wanting to look a certain way. With the raise of “insta models” and the usage of filters, it is easy for one to feel less then compared to what is seen on social media. In this presentation, we will discuss the meaning of the term “body positivity” and how it has looked throughout history, how beauty standards look different across racial groups, and ways how to combat these social norms.
