About this Collection
Calliope is a student magazine showcasing the poetry, prose and artwork of the students of Georgia Southern University. The publication was founded in 1984 on the Armstrong campus, then Armstrong State College.
Published works may receive the Lillian Spencer Award for Best Poem and Best Prose or the Best Artwork award.
