Notes and Artist's Statement

I wrote this work from a Dungeons and Dragons campaign I was in for the latter half of last year, and I loved the characters. I loved mine and my friend’s characters, Aetheran and Dusk respectively. One day, in the campaign, this situation happened, and I found that I wanted to write about it. I think this is a great opportunity to help further my college career–and I’m honored to have been chosen to win this award in fiction.
