Presenter Biography

Zachery Noah Rahn is a Writing & Linguistics senior at Georgia Southern University. He is the winner of the 2018 George Brannen Creative Writing Poetry Award, and the 2019 Brittany (Ally) Harbuck Creative Writing Award at his university. His work has appeared in his university’s CURIO Symposium, and has been considered for the 2020 AWP Intro Journal Project. He has poetry published in multiple journals, including From Whispers to Roars Magazine and Ghost City Press. He enjoys reading about insects, watching horror movies, and spending time with his dog. When Noah isn’t writing poems about ants, he can be found in the candy aisle at the nearest grocery store.

"Gosh, if I had the words to conclude my time as a Writing & Linguistics major at Georgia Southern, I’d know what to say here! I guess one thing is clear to me: before transferring to GSU, I barely knew my voice. But now that I’m graduating, I know how to use it loudly. And I thank everyone that’s helped me along the way."
