Abstract or Description

As the largest regional university in southeast Georgia and serving more than 20,000 students at the Statesboro campus, Georgia Southern University values student learning and inclusive access. Any positive change will have a huge impact on student success. Lowering the overburdening cost of student expenses will not only benefit low-income students, but also help every STEM major required to take these courses. Having a low- or no- cost option for students will guarantee that each student has access to the critical learning materials needed for these challenging courses. The key outcomes of the project to convert the Organic Chemistry textbook to a free resource will be shared in this presentation.
