Abstract
This study reframes channel strategy by shifting attention away from relationship investments as direct performance drivers and toward the mechanisms through which those investments create value. It proposes that resources committed to channel partners influence firm performance only insofar as they build channel equity, the capacity to operate credibly, visibly, and effectively within markets, and that this capacity is further shaped by firms’ analytical capabilities.
