Abstract
Advertising by attorneys in South Carolina is permitted with restrictions. Currently, there is little data nationally and none locally concerning the attitudes, perceptions, and beliefs of attorneys with respect to advertising and its effectiveness in growing a law practice. This study was designed to address eight issues surrounding advertising legal services in South Carolina. The survey is IRB approved and currently in the field. Results, conclusions, and implications will be available by the end of 2011.
